Introduction
Please read this cookie policy carefully. It explains how My Community Bank uses cookies on this website. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which sets out how and why we collect, store, use and share personal information generally, as well as your rights in relation to your personal information.
Who we are
This website is operated by My Community Bank. For more information about us, please see our About us page.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file which is placed onto your device (for example, a computer, smartphone or other electronic device) when you use our website. Cookies help the website function and can remember information about your preferences or past actions.
Permitted cookies
Permitted cookies are cookies used solely to comply with your preferences, to make the website function properly, or to protect the website (for example, from spam or abuse). They are not used for statistical analysis of how you browse the site, advertising, or third-party tracking.
We treat permitted cookies as strictly necessary first-party cookies (and, where applicable, strictly necessary third-party service cookies used only for the stated purpose). They are used without requiring your consent to optional cookie categories, although we still explain them in this policy and in Cookie Settings.
Our permitted cookies currently include:
- cookie consent preference cookies, which remember your cookie choices; and
- Google reCAPTCHA cookies and similar technologies, which help protect forms from automated abuse.
Data collected through permitted cookies is not shared with third parties except where required to provide the stated purpose. For example, Google processes reCAPTCHA data only to provide bot detection and spam protection, not for advertising or analytics on our behalf.
You can block permitted cookies using your browser settings, but some features (such as remembering your cookie choices or submitting protected forms) may not work properly.
Consent
We do not currently use optional cookies that require consent (such as analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies). Permitted cookies are used on the basis that strictly necessary first-party treatment is sufficient for the purposes described above.
We still show a cookie notice when you first visit so you can see what we use and how to manage your preferences. You can accept, reject optional cookies, or open Cookie Settings. Rejecting optional cookies or using only permitted cookies does not block permitted cookies from being used.
If you do not wish to accept any cookies at all, you may be able to change your browser settings so that cookies are not accepted. If you do this, please be aware that you may lose some of the functionality of our website.
For more general information on cookies, including deleting, blocking, controlling or managing them, visit the guidance published by the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
Why do we use cookies?
We currently use cookies for the following purposes:
- to make the website work properly;
- to remember your cookie choices and consent preferences;
- to record whether you have viewed or interacted with the cookie notice; and
- to help protect forms from spam and automated abuse (Google reCAPTCHA).
We do not currently use cookies to monitor traffic, track visitors, target advertising, or analyse how you use this website.

Cookies we do not currently use
We do not currently use Analytics, tracking cookies, advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies on this website. We do not currently set analytics, performance, functional, advertising or other optional cookies.
If we introduce optional cookies in future, we will update this Cookie Policy and our cookie settings notice before those cookies are used, and we will only use them where consent is required and you have provided that consent.
Cookie settings
Our cookie banner and Cookie Settings modal are provided by a legacy cookie management tool. Optional categories are shown for transparency, but we do not currently use optional cookies.
The Necessary category is always enabled because those cookies are required for the website to function and to remember your cookie choices.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the footer of any page, or by using the Manage cookies tab shown on screen after you have made your initial choice.
Can cookies harm my computer or mobile device?
No. Cookies cannot harm your computer and cannot carry viruses. Cookies are intended to support the operation of a website, rather than obstruct it.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update this page. If we introduce optional cookies, we will update this policy and our cookie settings notice before those cookies are used.
